A Pink Christmas

I’m a little late to the game with sharing my decor since everything halted when we moved, but I’m finally sharing it!

Here is a peak at Amelia’s room and Christmas decor. Since she plays in her room I wanted to keep things very minimal and up high so she couldn’t knock it down.

This little pink tree is probably the thing I am most proud of this year…well I also really like our main tree too. I had this little tree lying around undecorated from last year (it’s from Homegoods). At first I thought I might take it to work and put it on my desk but instead decided to give Amelia her own tree.

I was lacking in inspiration for a while after we moved. I had put up our Christmas tree in the living room but kept it undecorated because I couldn’t decide what to do. Then one day we stumbled upon a sale at Michaels where all Christmas decor was 70% off! Wow!

I found this cute pink glitter and white ornaments and, BAM, I had my inspiration! I went searching through the ribbon section for a cute ribbon to match and Bret ended up picking out the glitter snowflakes. I was a little apprehensive because it’s glitter that falls when you touch it and that meant glitter everywhere. But Bret was really set on this one so I got it. I also picked up a strand of pastel berries that I cut up into spears.

Next we ran to Target to get groceries and that’s where I found the pink peacock! I knew this would be perfect as a tree topper for that little tree.

When I got home I went to work and had her tree finished within an hour. I played around with it and sought some advice from Bret. He helped me get the final look of the berries on top together. (He really put a lot into this tree now that I think of it!)

I absolutely love how it turned out! I sent a picture to my mom and she said she thought it was pretty. Then I talked to her a couple days later and was telling her how I made it when she said she thought I had bought it that way and was shocked I made it myself! I guess that’s confirmation that it looks good!
